Dear Depression

Like family you sit at my table

We share in the occasional meal.

Politely we lie, and silently cry

nobody else has to know

I slept alone with you, when love had ended.

You read mutedly till night sunk me deep.

You spoke Fairytale words

forged as the worlds they're conceived in.

"you'll be ok", "you'll make it some day"

"you're amazing and beautiful", "you're fine"

I wrote to you when I felt hollow.

more feelings for the abyss.

I'm sending them via carrier Pidgeon

He's soaring northwest and true.

Dead on the windshield of a car

He's bound to go far

dear depression, please respond soon
